An associate editor at a major publishing house, Carly Silver channels her diverse passions into her editorial work. Since graduating summa cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2012, she has also worked as an ancient historian and a Thoroughbred horse racing journalist.
The former ancient history expert for About.com (now ThoughtCo), she has written for publications including Smithsonian, The Atlantic, Atlas Obscura, Archaeology magazine, and History Today, among others. A popular lecturer for Brooklyn Brainery and Nerd Nite NYC, Carly also served as the managing editor and a contributor for HistoryBuff.com.
